Martynas Janonis

I currently work as a Machine Learning Engineer at Quantcast (a DSP) where I lead the development of a contextual insights and targeting solution. At a high level, it enables clients to use keywords to see aggregate characteristics/serve ads to users who are interested in content closely related to the provided keywords.

Previously, I briefly worked as a Software Engineer at a small robotics firm, where I wrote software for autonomous disinfection robots.

In 2020, I completed a Bachelor of Science degree at UCL in Computer Science. My thesis topic was “Anomaly detection in parcel X-rays using Siamese and triplet neural networks”. Back in 2019, I worked with Arm to develop software that detects falls in a live video feed on an IoT device. In 2018, I wrote a small augmented reality game for GOSH.

I’m interested in C++, systems programming, privacy enhancing technologies, machine learning and Emacs (this whole website is written using Org mode).

I also love military aviation. I’ve spent countless hours flying in IL-2 Sturmovik and DCS.
